Hey hey and welcome to Friday.
You can look at cooking for others either as a chore or as a rewarding pleasure. I prefer to choose the latter. My mom doesn’t cook much anymore so when she said she was craving spinach, I took that as a sign to get into the kitchen and cook her something good. While I usually make grilled salmon, this time around I made baked salmon served with my favorite tartar sauce. SO TASTY. For sides, I heeded my mama’s request and made spinach with garlic (and added mushrooms) with a batch of Parmesan noodles that reminded me of my childhood. It felt good to take care of her the way she’s taken care of me all these years. Even better, it was simple to do. It just bears true, food is love.
With that, spread the love this weekend and make something good. But first, dig into this week’s Friday Faves. Enjoy!
