Happy happy first Friday of 2024!
There’s no better way to start today’s list than by wishing you all a fantastic new week in the new year! Here’s to us! Thank you all SO VERY MUCH for seeking out FoodieCrush as a part of your year, months, and days. It’s an honor to share with you the recipes and things I think are interesting here for the past twelve years. Wow! Where did the time go? Having this internet connection with you is oddly meaningful to me because while I can’t see your faces as you scroll through the screen, I conjure up a picture of you in my mind with each recipe and link I share. I hope these injections of FoodieCrush into your day mean something to you as well. Or at least provide a welcome distraction :). So here’s to the new, engaging, and stimulating ideas and attractions that are just waiting to fill our year.
Speaking of filling, yesterday’s newsletter shared that the Mediterranean Diet was named the best overall diet of 2024. I’m still incorporating the tenets of this eating lifestyle like eating more plant-based meals like my Mushroom Risotto with my Parmesan Zucchini (shown above) into my days. I’ve also adopted lessons from The Blue Zones (remember to eat 1 cup of beans a day!) and looooove foods from Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese cuisines. Eat up! It’s good for us all.
With that, let’s dig into this week’s list of Friday Faves. Happy happy everyone!
